IRCTC Share Latest News Today


A record number of companies declared dividends this week. These companies include the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). IRCTC will pay a final dividend of Rs 4 per share to its shareholders for the financial year 2023-24. 

The board of directors of the company in its meeting on May 28 had recommended a final dividend of Rs 4 with a face value of Rs 2 per share to the shareholders. The proposal will be approved by the shareholders at the company's 25th Annual General Meeting to be held on August 30. Dividend will be paid within 30 days if approved in the meeting.

IRCTC shares gain 44 per cent in one year

IRCTC's share has gained 44 percent in the last one year. The market capitalization of the company is around Rs 75000 crore.

IRCTC, in a notification to the stock market exchanges BSE and NSE, said that the record date for the dividend of Rs 4 to be paid for the financial year 2023-24 has been fixed on Friday, August 23.

IRCTC Q1 results

IRCTC's consolidated net profit rose 32.5 percent year-on-year to Rs 307.71 crore in the April-June 2024 quarter. A year ago it was Rs 232.21 crore. During the period, consolidated revenue from operations grew by around 12 percent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 1120.15 crore from Rs 1001.78 crore a year ago.

IRCTC Dividend: Railway PSU stock IRCTC is going to pay dividend to its shareholders. The state-owned company had announced a dividend of 200 per cent on each share with a face value of Rs 2 for the financial year 2023-24. Accordingly, a dividend of Rs 4 per share will be given to each shareholder of the company. IRCTC had earlier set this record date for dividend payment, which is now quite close.

Buy shares till 22 August if you want dividend

Along with this, one more thing to note is that if you are also planning to buy shares of the company for dividend then you have to buy shares till 22nd August. If you buy shares on 23rd August then you will not get dividend.

PSU stocks are trading at a loss on Tuesday

IRCTC shares were trading at Rs 936.10, down by Rs 1.60 (0.17 per cent) till press time. Railway PSU stocks closed at Rs 937.70 on Monday.
